Chinese Numbers 1–100 & Banking Numerals Printable Worksheet

Chinese numbers are among the earliest characters every learner writes, yet they demonstrate almost every core stroke order rule: horizontal progression (一, 二, 三), enclosure sealing (四), sweeping curves (七, 九), and myriad place-value grouping (百, 千, 万). This worksheet pack pairs everyday numerals (小写数字) with formal anti-fraud financial numerals (大写数字).

How Chinese Place-Value Combinations Work (11 to 99,999)

  • 1.11 to 19 are formed as Ten + Digit: 11 = 十一 (shíyī), 15 = 十五 (shíwǔ), 19 = 十九 (shíjiǔ).
  • 2.20 to 90 are formed as Digit + Ten: 20 = 二十 (èrshí), 50 = 五十 (wǔshí), 99 = 九十九 (jiǔshíjiǔ).
  • 3.Internal zeros must be pronounced and written once as 零 (líng): 108 = 一百零八 (yībǎi líng bā), whereas trailing zeros are silent (180 = 一百八十).
  • 4.Large numbers group every four digits at 万 (wàn, 10,000) rather than every three digits at 1,000.
